Peter Pang is the founder and Chairman of Anderson Brown PLLC, a firm headed by 3 seasoned principal Partners collectively with over 100 years of experience and service to the community. Mr. Pang is also a Partner in Henson, Pang and Winnie, LLC, a premier international consulting firm with offices in Washington DC. Mr. Pang’s US practice encompasses corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, sophisticated and complex cross border arbitration, litigation and mediation, Mergers and Acquisitions and pre-public offerings. He also leads a team of lawyers with offices in China where he focuses on inbound to China matters where understanding of Chinese law, Chinese culture and Chinese regulatory regimes is the difference between success and failure of a business trying to get a foothold in the robust Chinese market. Mr. Pang has over 40 years of experience as a practicing attorney, over 15 of which were spent in the United States.
Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Pang served as in-house corporate and IP counsel at Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas, M&A attorney for Hershey Foods in Hershey, PA, Vice President and General Counsel for Dole Packaged Food Corporation in San Francisco, CA, Chief Corporate Counsel for Nissan North America in Torrance, California, EVP and GC for Win Win Gaming, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV and Legal Representative for bwin Interactive Gaming AG in Beijing, China. Most recently, Mr. Pang completed a three-year stint as Of Counsel to the U.S. Michigan based law firm of Dickinson Wright PLLC, working out of their Washington DC office, where he primarily focused on international business transactions.
Mr. Pang is currently active in practicing cross border mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, intellectual property law, commercial contracts and dispute resolution. He has written numerous books, articles and blogs on Chinese law and legal issues. He is also a frequent speaker at international bar organizations.
In his capacity as a US lawyer, Mr. Pang has a successful track record in matching Chinese outbound ambitions with Western offerings. With both the national and international perspective, Mr. Pang is uniquely qualified to deal issues when a domestic or foreign party attempts to establish, expand or acquire businesses in the US. Mr. Pang attended UC Berkeley where he received a degree in Biochemistry, Santa Clara University where he received his Juris Doctor, University of Houston where he received his LLM in International Law, Duke University Fuqua Business School where he received his certificate in Corporate and Business Law. He also attended Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University and JiaoTong University. Mr. Pang is admitted to practice in California, Texas, New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. He is admitted to numerous district courts in California and Pennsylvania and is eligible to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and bar associations, and has written numerous articles, chapters in books and blogs. He is a well-known and well received speaker on US China relations and cross border practices.
